I have been undetectable for over 10 years. The risky people are the ones who state they are negative which are actually far more infectious than poz guys whos viral load is undetectable. There is also Prep and pep.
Studios don’t force BB on actors they want to do it.

if you check there was a study did in Switzerland that says if a guy is undetectable then the risk is 97% that he will not infect a Neg guy, the same as a condom. It is up to the guys involved to decide what is best for them, I would be more afraid of the guy who barebacks and says he is neg, as some of them are poz and not tested and have a very high viral load.

@erick The Swiss study’s conclusion was that risk of transmission was low when HIV viral load was undetectable AND NO STI’s WERE PRESENT. Anyone who barebacks with multiple partners is at risk for many STI’s, HIV isn’t the only one out there, and secondary infections with other STI’s can send viral loads out of control, making an HIV+ person infective again. Unless you’re in a monogamous relationship and you and your partner are committed to regular testing and regular results-sharing, you’re deluding yourself that bareback sex is risk-free.

It seems to me that the guy who made the remark about the undetectable viral load (Ben Statham) made it to justify the fact that he did a bareback scene. So far he has done condom scenes and he knows that he and his scene partner will be criticized for doing a bareback scene. So he searches for a reason to silence the critics. That he has done exactly the opposite with this talk about “undetectable viral load” is kind of ironic.
In the American gay porn industry many performers are HIV+. Some estimates go as high as 60%-70%. These performers did not become HIV+ while filming a scene but in their private lives. Especially escorting is a risky activity because the pressure to have bareback sex is very high. Add to this a lifestyle with a lot of drugs and/or alcohol and you have a recipe for making bad decisions. It always surprises me that many commentators are not aware of this and think that innocent models get seroconverted while filming their first bareback scene. This seldom is the case.
