Exclusive Interview with Marc Macnamara The Porn Director

I told you that the guys who work behind the scenes at LUCAS ENTERTAINMENT are HOT. Now I’m glad that I finally can show one of them to you. Marc Macnamara, the director and writer behind many Lucas Entertainment movies – Assassin, The Last Day, Trapped in the Game, Obsession, Missing, Kings of New York, decided to reveal himself and he gives me an exclusive interview.

It’s my pleasure to get a chance to hang out with Marc and Lucas Entertainment team in Mykonos for a week.

Are you top, bottom or versatile… oh wait, that’s a question for porn stars, sorry. Let’s start again. Please tell us about your background.

Thank you so much Queer Me Now for delving into all of the facets of gay porn. It is an amazing industry full of great characters with big hearts and penises. But first off, you’re a pervert for wanting to know about my sex life. What I do with my danger zone is on lock-down. But if people do want to know, which I doubt, I am a top. But one thing bothers me about guys who say they are tops. They think it makes them more manly or more dominate because they are the “studs”. But I disagree. I am a top but that doesn’t make me any less gay than a fist-swallowing bottom. I have sex with men so I am just as equally gay as anyone else who does, no matter of the position. As far as my background: My family is Sicilian and I am from a small island in Florida and have lived in NYC for 5 years now.

How did you get started in porn business? And how did you become director and script writer for Lucas Entertainment?

I started off freelancing for Lucas Entertainment and assisting in casting and editing articles for press… which is ironic since I never proofread my own typing and it is constantly full of grammatical errorses. 😉 Then I came on full time as Michael Lucas’ publicist and the publicist to our exclusive models. Then I ran the publicity for “Men of Israel” along with our talented team. The company liked the style in which I wrote and told stories so they had me write and direct my first movie, the psychological sex thriller “Obsession”. Then things snowballed and I become the publicity director for the company.

Please tell us about your previous movies with Lucas Entertainment.

After Obsession, I realized what works and what doesn’t work in this industry, coming from a mainstream media background. For the next project we went to Barcelona and I wrote and directed “Missing”. Then a few months later I made “Kings of New York”. After that I wanted to go back overseas and take the audience on another intense journey that kept your heart… and dick pounding and that is how I started writing “Trapped in the Game.” For “Assassin” I wanted to write and direct a really stylized film noir story that was minimal on dialogue but kept its emotion and momentum in the eyes and action of the characters. For every movie, I always write the endings first and then go back and start the beginning. I always find it easier to make the journey more fascinating for the audience if I know where the story is going and I can throw viewers off or surprise them along the way. That leads me to “The Last Day” where I wanted to really showcase what is relevant in 2012… the fact the many people are obsessed with fame and would rather have fans than friends. So it was a social commentary on how insane the world could become if we continue to seek validation from strangers instead of using some self-reflection on our insecurities. Do you have any funny or memorable moments on the porn set to share?

It’s not so funny but when we were shooting The Last Day in Ibiza there is a scene at the end where Issac Jones and Adriano Carrasco get thrown off a cliff into the water. I never ask the models to do anything that I’m not willing to do first, other than take big dicks up my ass, so I decided I should jump off the cliff first to make sure there were no rocks below and that it was all safe. So I did it and came out fine and then swam about 100 yards back to the boat with our production manager Chris Crisco. But when we got in the boat we noticed there were literally thousands of Portuguese Man o’ War in the water. I don’t know how we got so lucky because one string from any of these huge snot beasts could have paralyzed us.

For a funny story… on the set of Assassin, there was suppose to be a scene where Michael Lucas pushes Rafael Alencar into the frozen ice-covered Hudson River. So Rafael was wearing a wet suit and I told him once he’s in the water to pee in it to keep warm. Well he decided to pee in it as soon as he put it on and the entire day he walked around with pockets piss all over his body that were trapped his suit…but he didn’t mind.

Why did Lucas Entertainment decide to shoot porn in Mykonos?

We always shoot overseas where we know locals. This was we can scout out the perfect locations before we go and then I know what type of story I can write because I always like to play the location as another character in the plot.

What should fans expect from this Mykonos project? How many porn models did you use? How many scenes did you shoot?

People can expect a lot of insanely hot and well-produced butt sex. We brought sixteen models to the island and the cast and crew stayed in a huge villa on top of the mountain. So you can imagine the laughs, tears, and cum stains we left behind. In total we shot fifteen scenes that will be released in various movies from Auditions, Love, Raunch and our big budget film “Awake” which will come September 14.

For now, what can you reveal to my readers about your latest movie Awake?

Coming off of the great success that The Last Day had, I wanted to do something completely different. I didn’t want to tell another story where people were killing each other or fighting for their lives. I wanted a clean shower from the blood baths that are going on in porn movies. The Last Day explored man against the world, man against maniac.

In Awake I wanted to look inward to a place we all could relate to: man against himself. In life we are bound and determined to live our lives by the decisions of our past. But what happens when our past renders us numb? How to we break off of this path and learn to live, accept and love again? In Awake we take a journey to find out how to live with love that can be flawed and how to embrace not facing fate alone…. There is also a ton of passionate, aggressive and genuinely engaging sex scenes. I always find the orgasm more intense when your mind and body are both involved in the climax.

How did you choose actors for your movie?

I always look for a cast that I know has chemistry with each other. Not only sexual but that they seem as though they could be good friends outside of work. Because when we do these big movies it takes a great deal of work and comradery. It sounds silly and rainbow-bright-gay but we are a big family overseas because we have to all lean on each other to get through the demanding days. I live to laugh so I look for guys who have a sense of humor and can crack me up. Which is clearly not important for jerking off but it helps the film making process. Also, for the dialogue parts, we always skype with the guys and give them a test run to see how well they deliver lines and how authentic it feels. Lastly, they need to have delicious private parts. But that is a visual test, we do keep it professional and let the models taste test each other.

Jonathan Agassi has always been my muse. Me and him are like brothers at this point and I love him with all of my heart. There have been so many in my past movies that I adored and can’t wait to work with again… and some that I’d rather just kick in the man pussy and be done with. BUT if I’m talking about new guys then I would love to work with Paddy O’Brian, Channing Tatum and Jesus.

I would love the fans of Lucas Entertainment to know how much we care about delivering a great product to you. At times we literally are risking everything to pull off an amazing shot or not sleeping for days on-end to make sure the end product is something to be proud of. I know we aren’t curing cancer here but our jobs hopefully bring happiness and an escape into a world where freedom is for everyone and love, lust and fucking are the joys we are can explore freely.
