Jay Roberts: Porn Fashionista [Guest Blogger]

I was nervous to interview JAY ROBERTS. I am a gigantic fan of the versatile dreamboat, but meeting him at his fabulous PLAY>TIME Friday night party, I figured I would be lost among the throngs of gorgeous hunks and porn babes who come to worship him in a decadent club.

Jay is far too good a host for that. As soon as I introduced myself, we were sharing tequila shots! I remarked that the t-shirt he was wearing fit like it was custom made. “You should be a runway model,” I insisted. He blushed a little and sweetly said, “Thank you. Actually, fashion interests me very much.”

The next day at lunch for our formal interview, Jay showed me some brand new pictures from a Gerrit Bender shoot, both clothed and naked. It was clearly Jay Roberts, but this was not just a sexy porn model, they showed confidence and style that goes way beyond hardon dreams. This was a mind at work creating so that every shot had a purpose.

“Pick two favorites and tell me why you like them,” he instructed.

The nude showed shimmering eyes, the hint of a grin, but it was the relaxation in this wild position that gracefully said, “Welcome to the world of Jay Roberts. Assume nothing, expect everything.”

The other picture was so alive it almost seemed to be moving. I had never seen anything like it.

“You have good taste,” he said, noting that the second one was going to be the new poster for PLAY>TIME. “This picture will give PLAY>TIME a whole new attitude,” he noted. This was said not out of ego, but with the knowledge that his personal fashion statement spoke for the event.

“When I put on those leather pants, I felt an adrenaline rush. They were tight, my cock was instantly hard, so I suddenly grabbed my nipple and started screaming. It was happy, scary, all kinds of noises,” he remembered, apparently shocking Gerrit.

As he told me this, I could see on his face that Jay was clearly meant for fashion: not just to model it, but to influence it, be a part of it, even live it.

I had to hear more. “The person who taught me the most is my best mate, Dylan Rosser.”

To prove it, he showed me a photo I had seen many times, one that Dylan, known for his fantastic shots of naked men delivered with unequalled artistry and care, had taken of Jay emerging from a pool, his back and bubble butt to the camera. Inevitably, we had to get to Justin Monroe, an outrageous photographer who has the vision and imagination of a cartoonist. “I was scared going in there because I didn’t know if I fit what I had seen of Justin’s work. Plus, I had to shave off all my body hair, which I had never done before And. because I had to shave all hair on my body” ”
He said it took a while before he started to claim the session.

One of his favorite pictures from the shoot is a bawdy blast that shows Jay, totally naked, dick and ass hole as close to the camera as can be, wearing thick leather boots, a cowboy hat and diamonds. I thought of the rugged Marlboro Man and a decked-out Elizabeth Taylor as well as every gorgeous porn hunk I ever wanted to shoot a load over. He was every fantasy peeking out from under that hat.

I loved the cameras, the lights, the make-up, the poses. I felt like a star in a giant production as Justin took me places that blurred the lines between masculine and feminine, between stylish and tacky, and I felt so strong!”

“It’s so creative and so…well, I think, so you! It’s Jay Roberts, the porn star and Jay Roberts, the smart guy discussing photography instead of tongues and holes, but more than anything, it’s Jay Roberts, fashion porn icon,” I said with increasing excitement.

“I can die happy,” Jay said. “I’ve wanted to hear that forever! That’s my goal and I have a lot planned to make it happen.” Watching Jay Roberts remake the world the way he believes it should be fashioned will be a treat.
