@Sam: Overall, I agree with this notion that as queer identified men, we need to stop only celebrating that “straight” is something more sexually desirable. That’s limiting and lacks honesty about what desire/erotica/sexuality is.
But at the same time, it’s fucked up to attack Marcus Mojo for being “G4P” if that’s how he identifies. He’s someone who is ostensibly straight in his personal life, but able to have sex with men in his “professional” life. This is not that difficult a concept to grasp. It may be foreign to a lot of us, but it is what it is. This is nothing I object to, and the little I know about him, he seems to be relatively transparent about this. He also does not seem to have gay bashed or stated homophobic statements. So in this case, the argument that’s he’s an awful human being, doesn’t seem to jibe.
I think we all need to reflect on our own behavior and really have conversations within our communities about desire and our accountability of them.
