It has been two years since I last saw Tristan Baldwin in Colt movie Stud Ranch – Hung n Strung and I’m pretty sure all his fans miss him.

This week I’m happy that Tristan took time out of his busy schedule and traveling to answer some of my questions about his upcoming movie “The Ultimate Top,” what had he been doing this past 2 years, Madison, exotic dancing, wrestling, escorting, and his future in porn.

What was your last scene before your absent from porn?

My last scene for a major studio & one of my favorites of all time was with Colt / Buckshot called “Stud Ranch – Hung n Strung“. My scene partner was Micah Andrews, an adorable young kid. The absence from porn wasn’t out of distaste for it by any means, nor was it any type of ‘retirement’. I really needed the time off to rebuild my body- and get back to the level I wanted to be seen on. Was still filming fetish sex/wrestling scenes for Can-Am throughout the ‘absence’ as an exclusive.

Why did you decide to just stop doing porn for a long time?

I run an exotic dancing agency (New England Strip) up in the Northeast, and the numbers there are really strong right now- but it’s a time intensive business; and a lot of hands-on. Between that and the escorting I do, traveling the US meeting fans, there is rarely a night I get more than 5 hours sleep. There was never a decision to ‘stop doing porn’, though. I’m a fuck machine. It’s in my blood- and I’ll be filming until I’m booed off camera. The way I look at it, the best years are still ahead of me- I’ve NEVER been in this good of shape before, and it’s still increasing.

What have you been doing during your hiatus?

During the hiatus, I’ve battled chronic depression that has plagued me over the years; put on 20+ lbs (good weight, not bad weight!), and revitalized my career as a top. I’ve also been able to connect with TONS of great fans, while escorting across the nation.

What could you tell us about your escort work and travel?

A lot of people tend to think people work as strippers, then become escorts, then get into porn…when that is in fact the incorrect chronology for success. Porn serves as the single greatest marketing tool, to be able to demonstrate to clients that you can in fact do what say you can do. Being a recognized face allows you to pick and choose your clients, and activities, and to a certain degree, the price. I always have been known to be super fair on the pricing end- because I feel some of my contemporaries absolutely gouge their clients. I’d rather only partake in activities I know to be safe and that I can really enjoy too.

Any fun stories from your escort work and traveling to share?

I don’t typically kiss and tell… but I’ve been fortunate to connect with a ton of great guys who share similar interests as me. Have had a chance to go to Paris, to London, and to almost every state in the US. Still a few on the plans for 2013, that’s for sure. I can say THIS… there are some cities I do great in, like Chicago, Boston, Dallas, LA, etc- and some there are just not friendly to the gay lifestyle- like Denver, and parts of the South.

Please tell us more about love of your life, Madison 🙂

Little Madison is the apple of my eye, a little black fluff-puff of pure love and energy. She never judges me- she is incapable of it. Thus, she is an unconditional friend and companion. Every other person in my life is here conditionally, which sucks. You do something they don’t enjoy or approve of- and boom, they’re gone. Dogs just want to be loved and they’ll reciprocate 10-fold.

Why and how did you decide to come back and shoot more porn?

When Ron Sexton from Can-Am purchased a majority share in Jet-Set, and wanted to breathe some fresh air into the company, I think he felt more comfortable using stars of his own from the wrestling tapes. He then re-applied them into mainstream porn roles. Wrestlers, due to the nature of their work, are natural actors- so I think the wrestler into porn-actor role transitions better than porn-actor into wrestler. It’s the ‘square peg; round hole and round peg square hole’ theory. A lot of talk about holes, here! 😉

What could you reveal at this point about your role and about the movie “The Ultimate Top”?

Ron said he had a strong cast of up and coming young guys who were relatively undiscovered. Good bodies, great attitudes- but he wasn’t sure which of them would really have the character to be dominant and verbal for some of the B-Role in the film. He made great selections in myself and Nick Ryder, as the ‘coaches’ for each of the respective teams in the Ultimate Top. Many other studios have attempted to recreate the action from the real life ‘Ultimate Fighter’ reality series; but Jet-Set is the only one to accurately bring the personalities and behind the scenes drama to life. Not simply just dick-sucking and fucking in a ring.

How was it like working with Jet Set Men shooting The Ultimate Top?

It was phenomenal. Often, at the end of a shoot, 6 out of 8 actors will walk away being really happy with the way things went down. The other 2, for whatever reason- will have a hair across their ass over some little detail or someone being too rough, a shoot taking too long, someone not getting hard enough and cumming quickly; little shit. Let me tell you- you had more than a dozen people on this set. Probably close to two dozen at some points- lots of moving parties. And it went seamlessly; and not a single actor walked away unhappy.

A lot of this has to do with the small creature comforts- Ron created a massive ‘green room’ to keep the actors comfortable in between shoots and scenes- lots of great food, drinks, plasma TV’s, leather couches…real hard to be unmotivated when you get to relax in an environment like that. What really surprised me is how well the new guys, like Logan Vaughn, and Kris Jameson took direction. There wasn’t a whole lot of porn veterans on the set, save for the guys behind the Camera like Rob Romoni and Chris Steele. Yet, the new guys really stepped it up without complaining in the least.

You’ve got queen divas on some sets that just complain about this and that, and all they’re doing is sexual roles. Now picture having sexual roles, plus B-Role lines and acting, and oh- getting punched and kicked and choked on top of it? Not the easiest of environments to adapt to, but this cast did great.

Who’s the porn star you want to work with?

Recently on my blog Tristan Daily Daily a fan asked the same question. When I did the 2012 clip for you, I mentioned Brady Jensen. I like that he works on his physique hard. I’m not sure if a scene is possible though now that he’s an Dylan Lucas exclusive.

What’s next for Tristan Baldwin? Do you have plan to shoot more porn with other studios?

I will continue to travel & escort, work out & get my body where I want it to be. I’m interested to see if Marcus London does put together a gay version of Spartacus. It would be exciting to be part of a movie with a stellar cast with real quality acting. I also will continue to work on getting my own site TristanBaldwin.com up & running. I think it would be the best way to really portray the character & persona of who I am. I have lots of great ideas & this would be the best way to express them while giving the fans what they’ve been asking for, for a long time now.
