My “porn adventure” continues, I took a tour of the San Francisco Armory yesterday. It’s a historic San Francisco building located in the heart of the Mission district. The armory is now owned by KINK.COM and it’s where they shoot all their hardcore videos and live shows including NAKED KOMBAT, BOUND GODS, BUTT MACHINE BOYS and BOUND IN PUBLIC.
This place is HUGE. I don’t know how to describe it. I’ve never thought there’s a porn operation this BIG. There are so many rooms and dungeons full of the most kinkiest stuffs you can think of.
I also got a chance to meet kinky director Van Darkholme in person. He’s about to start filming a scene for BOUND GODS.

I love Bound Gods, but when that guy in the first pic, the guy in the center…when he is in a scene I lose my hard-on. He’s not very authoritative. When he gives directions or commands he sounds like a nerd giving directions to a jock…very whiny. I have no idea why they use him so much.

Apparently Kink.com bought the place in 2006 for $14.5M. Which is amazing,’cause I didn’t know the site generated that kind of money…
Also, the place is in the Mission District; I’ve actually been on that street and I won’t lie, it’s a little jarring to see a big-ass building for porn in such a quiet residential neighborhood.

I’m going to have to respectfully disagree about Van Darkholme. I find him very commanding, in a subtle way. Not all dominant partners have to be loud and aggressive. Sometimes self control in that department can be very sexy.

I was thinking Van Darkholme was the owner of kink.com, but I think he just works for kink.com. Whoever is behind that operation is filthy rich though. I don’t think the site generates anywhere near 14 million in sales, but who the hell knows

I did some quick research lol Kink.com is owned by Peter Acworth. Some PhD from the UK. Kink.com brought in $20 million just in 2006 alone from monthly membership sales. That’s like 500,000 members. CRAZY

Yes, Van Darkholme is a director at Kink, not an owner. Actually, Kink is pretty well for the “business” of porn. If you are interested, do search for an in depth article on Kink done by the Wall Street Journal.
Unfortunately, I believe that kink has fallen in popularity, at least on the gay side. Bound Gods no longer performing, Butt Machine Men pretty much done, etc. I was a fan of Kink but their prcing model is too expensive. They have many sites, but who can afford to join them all?
