I wonder with all the porno as a result of the internet why none of these guys seem to worry about how it may later affect their lives. DAMN, Rick! Sorry to hear that…I have often wondered the same thing about these young beautiful performers and their futures. It really amounts to risk vs. reward (albeit short term rewards)…

I saw a news story awhile back that said twenty some percent ( I think it was 27% ) of businesses/corporations HR depts check the internet as part of the hiring process. It was talking mainly about the social networking sites. They were looking for any inappropriate pix, etc that people sometimes post online. Party pix, amateur sex pix. If you’ve done it and posted it, it’s there somewhere.

Well, Pixter, in point of fact, you are completely wrong about Europe. Most European couintries are actually far stricter than the USA. Two of the jobs I was up for were for British or French companies. And even though there is a lot of Hungarian porn, it is in fact illegal to make or distribute gay porno in Hungary. The last HR person I spoke with said that in his opnion, about 90% of compnaies do internet checks and that figure will only rise. I readily admit it was my own stupidity; I was involved with a guy who I thought was very hot and he wanted to do it and thought it would be hot if we both did it so…It also got me disqualified twice from bodybuilding contests. Big, dumb mistake that is apparently going to hanut me for quite a while. Also, I have noticed that where many gay guys have no problem with porno, almost all straights I have spoken with see it as “white trash” or else-even if they admit watching it and liking it-something totally off-limits for “decent, normal people.

Pixter, please do us all a favor and try and remember theat even with the EU there is no one “Europe.” That is such an ignorant statement for you to have made. I am Italian and have lived in the USA for over ten years and in Italy people are very conservative about things like gay porno (although we have had a straight porn woman in Parliament. LOL) Companies are international and their rules apply equally in New York or Paris or Madrid or Tokyo. Most people do not have a high regard for men that have done gay porn and as is usally the case, been male prostitutes. That’s just a fact. My best friend is Hungarian and was on their olympic wrestling team and kicked off for having done several pornos. It made the news and he was so ostracized he had to leave the country. Paris is liberal, the rest of France is conservative; just as New York is liberal but not so in Alabama or Georgia.

Everyone that likes porn should really look at Erik Rhodes’ blog Underneath it All. I admit to love watching porno but the reality of actually doing it is something quite different. And some of these guys that do it, and escorting, for years are obviously so desperate. When you are twenty you are indestructible and refuse to see that your actions have consequences, but at 30 or 40 life looks different.
