First I saw this news about the 90s and retired gay porn star Sam Crockett on Gay Porn Times. JC Adams reported on his blog that the former Southern porn star is “exploring a return to the blue-movie beat” with a cam performance opposite another porn veteran Matt Sizemore.
Then today, I found another piece of news, Denz of Men of Porn blogged that Sam Crockett is barebacking for SX Video…
Sam Crockett recently did 2 live sex shows on Flirt 4 Free fucking Matt Sizemore. Check out the preview photos.

Umm, I suppose there’s a market for this. I don’t know how much work he’ll get, but all the best.
manu says
Sad- not that he’s coming back , but that he’s coming back bareback when he’s worn condoms during all his first “career” – must mean he caught something…:(
ALan says
I don’t know what’s more offensive about that comment: assuming something like that or demonizing poz guys with a frowny face.
Westie says
Just seen him on cam right now – he’s looking good. He was reminiscing about his amazing scene in Technical Ecstasy for which he won an award.
ed says
Sam is very handsome and masculine porn star, its very mean spirited to assume the worse in people you guys shouldn’t be so judgemental!
sxg says
He probably had no choice nobody in condom porn probably cared about his comeback. If he’s desperate for cash then you go where you can.
crakpot says
Sam Crockett was my porn god.. I’m glad he’s back.
Craven says
I’m definitely buying
manu says
Hmm Hmm I did not demonize poz guys , I know the current trend is to glam it up and make it a marketable thing but remember it’s a lethal disease and not really something to take lightly especially in the gay community which has lost many of its prominent figures to this plague.
I think it’s a very bad trend , and Sam is old enoigh to have known directly people who died from it in the 80s…oh well , I rest my case .
Even if you are poz you should not do bareback , the virus recombines itself and gets stronger when you are contaminated with several strains.
THis being said I have no specific information about Sam but the fact that he just got out of jail and decides to go back to porn at 49 tells me he must be a bit desperate ….
Tia Maria says
@tacostains and rest of the bareback police…..Assumption is a mother of all screw ups! You guys don’t know what kind of precautions the studios are taking to prevent infection on performers. Also you seem to assume that performers are not making informed decisions on bareback. Grow up and stop representing HIV Poz people as diabolical!
manu says
LOL Tia Maria you must be one of those people who believes Jeff palmer when he says he’s HIV negative – good on you 🙂
Soon enough people will be posting conspiracy theories here about HIV and how it’s a made up disease not linked to AIDS ( which doesn’t really exist ) – wtach this space… 😐
Marko says
@TM The studios wouldn’t have to be offering extra to perform bareback if it was as safe and risk-free as they like to tell us.
JT says
Let me break down the moral lack of understanding here.
Bareback sex almost always leads to complications. Its like drugs and people that overdo them, they think there in control but usually ruin there lives because of such a risk they take up.
Having sex without a condom, swallowing cum, shooting in a guys ass, all of it can lead to sexually transmitted diseases.
But here’s the rub. Many guys here get off on seeing men fuck without a condom, because they know of the risk and that makes it more exciting to watch guys do it.
You can make any number of weak excuses you want for it, but reality is sex without protect is and always will be playing russian roulette. You just block out the part in your mind that tells you ‘this could lead to this actor getting a disease’ and enjoy seeing the fucking, cumming and swallowing.
Thats the truth, you get off on it, you don’t want to admit the moral implication and just watch the hot sex.
Tia Maria says
@manu…. If Jeff Palmer says he negative then he is. Unless you can prove otherwise. I wouldn’t personally risk bareback with anyone but if people choose to It’s a CHOICE and an informed decision. Saying that every bareback gay performer is HIV positive is not only presumtuous but also very ignorant of you. We can sit an assume all day long but these actors are adults and know what they are getting themselves into. If you want to talk moral implications you wouldn’t be watching porn at all. So that’s a non argument for me.
tom in portland says
Really tired of hearing about “precautions” that studios are taking or could take. Please go read a basic public health webpage. There are no “precautions” that make barebacking safe or really even safer. Even the best testing cannot overcome the very well documented gap between when someone can infect his partner and when he will test positive. The gap is at least several months.
sxg says
LMAO @TiaMaria Jeff Palmer says he doesn’t have HIV because he doesn’t believe it exists. He is delusional he believes it’s all a doctor and government conspiracy. He used to take drugs to cole with it, then he quit those and went on to take a more herbal approach in “healing” himself. Now hw doesn’t do anything for it because like I said he doesn’t believe it ever existed. Fine if you don’t believe me you can Google it for yourself. Oh and you can clearly see something is wrong with him by comparing his falcon pics to his sx video pics. The loss of muscle mass isn’t the only thing that’s changed he is definitely sick with something
Gry says
It kind of seems like when a former condom-only player agrees to go bareback that that’s his implicit way of announcing he’s positive.
So yeah, count me in as one of the ones saddened when a one-time great either decides to or has to give into the lowest common denominator.
JT says
As Tom said, there is no halfway on this. You fuck without a condom, you run the risk of getting a disease, end of.
And those that think there safe because a porn company puts up those notices is even more stupid.
At least they should be honest and say ‘We like seeing guys fuck and cum in each others ass and don’t give a shit about if they catch something, we get off on it’
Tia Maria says
@SXG…..LMAO? You’re missing my point here buddy. I don’t have proof of what the man status is and frankly it doesn’t bother me. I don’t need education on HIV/AIDS, STDs or safe sex. I keep myself well informed and know enough to know that I don’t want to get infected. Well purposely anyway. Bareback sex is CHOICE people make. The same goes for safe sex. It’s not a must. It’s a choice. Whether porn companies put up a notices disclaimers or releases a PR statement, it’s still up to the individual whether or not they want to take part. By taking part in bareback scenes, the performers acknowledge that they have made a choice not to be safe. Just like you make a choice to watch porn. Some might call you immoral but it’s what you choose. I don’t impose my choices on others hence no judgments against them for doing what they choose to. That’s all.
treklord says
As Tia Maria stated, it is a CHOICE that people have the RIGHT to make. I’m pretty sure there would be a consensus that a woman has a RIGHT to choose to have an abortion, so why must we demonize gay men who choose to have unprotected sex.
waht! says
Bring back the 90s everything was so much better.
sam says
wow, you would never know from reading the comments on here what the original article was even about? Demons, abortion, AIDS, or Sam Crockett? It is a little embarrassing to see such an 80’s view of HIV represented on here. If you take your meds and take care of yourself you will live a long and happy life. I know this for a fact. Also, comapring Jeff Strykers looks from SX to Falcon is plain silly…the guy is much older now…he aged. So back to the original topic now?
sam says
wow, there is a definite 1980’s attitude to HIV on here. First, they don’t call it “AIDS” anymore, unless of course your HIV actually progresses to AIDS. Doctors now consider them 2 different things. Second, if a man or woman who is HIV+ takes their meds and leads a healthy lifestyle they will probably outlive all the drug addicts, meth heads and drunks who frequent the gay bars and act like they are above it all. Lastly, Jeff Stryker is much older now than in his Falcon days, so it is more likely that he has just aged rather than contracted a disease. So many people on here sound uneducated and petty. So, what were we talking about?…oh yeah, Sam Crocket returns to porn… He’s hot, I’m glad he did.
Ed says
Nice to see Sam Crockett back in the porn movies again, he looks as handsome as ever. I imagine Sam Crockett has considered the decision carefully before agreeing to do bare back and we as fans should respect his decisions; otherwise keep derogatory comments to ourselves. He is earning an honest living and paying his taxes and bloody good at his job.
I noticed a photo of Jake Taylor as well, he is another hot and handsome star I would love to meet, bring Jake back as well I say. I also agree in the 90’s things were much better; but if Sam is returning, there is hope once more!
Rob says
The guys in 90s porn were so much hotter. Totally different calibre of men. Now we have Bel Ami where the y are ll interchangeable; TitanMen guys pissing all over each other; and hundreds of internet sites where even fan favorites like Marc Dylan get “fucked in public.” Guys, if your best buddy is video-tapping you get fucked with his iphone and putting it on the internet, you are NOT a porn star. Ten years ago this is crap we would have been embarassed and humiliated by. I’ll hand it to Sam Crockett, guys like him made very hot porn and damn did that guy know how to fuck. You know what might help? A moritorium on the behind-the-scenes-shit where none of the guys come off looking good and many of them remind you of the guy behind the counter at McDonald’s.
sxg says
The only thing that made porn good in the 90s was the lack of social media and how primitive internet was at the time. You wouldn’t know who was G4P, and if those G4Pers made offensive remarks about gays, But also, because of the discover of HIV and AIDs, you had extremely few, if any, studios that filmed bareback. So everybody played it safe.
arabninja says
It’s great to see Sam back. I was a fan for his previous work.
reed says
Matt sizemore has hiv. so anyone that fucks with him bareback must have it too, otherwise why would they risk that?
sam says
Really Reed?…gotta try to take everyone down that path again? I assume you are Matt Sizemore’s doctor?
Matt Sizemore says
Wow … I’m amazed at the amount of venom, ignorance and hatred in some of these comments about Sam & I — terrible stuff to read. Since this Reed character can definitively say I have HIV, perhaps he’d like to share with everyone other private information about me — such as my Social Security number, the name of my first pet or my mother’s maiden name? Thought not 😉
Ed says
Matt, I too share your views about the venom and ignorance. Your genuine fans [Such as me] will always be grateful to you, for the pleasure you have given us over the years.
You are one of the best, and I mean that, in EVERY department.
ben says
got horney ! Matt r u seriously interested what other people think ? in one way yes, but on the other hand loves ur performances and hope that sam will also get a lot of good feedback ! awesome that he made a COMEBACK ;).
and 2 b ownest I was hoping for this kind of comeback 😉
Alex Kincaid says
I always like Sam. In the business, there are few really honest guys. Lookin good bud…
Rick Wilson says
I’m glad you chimed in, Matt. The venom of the comments is totally unwarranted. You have been one of the reasons to watch porn in the last few years, and I loved your pairing with Sam Crockett. I’ve looked at it over and over. It’s a beautifully executed scene. Keep up your stunning work.
jeff says
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Great to see matt and sam at it together, I always wanted to see them together in action, hot stuff fantastic to see their hot manly bods and fat cocks, still a real turn on. I hate negative people trashing people with HIV – your fan from down-under
Bearfuzzlover says
Sam Crockett was once a hot 1990’s gay porn star and still he’s a handsome man … but bareback sex … something very tawdry is on the horizon. I wonder why someone as hot as Sam (a qualified nurse) is taking such risks knowing the difference oh so well between safe sex and playing “Russian Roulette” with his body having unprotected sex … and the potential serious consequences of becoming infected knowing nothing about another gay porn star’s true HIV status.
It appears that the Maverick of gay porn, Michael “Duckface” Lucas is largely to blame for advocate bareback sex, or so I have read, by believing that taking a few drugs is the panacea preventing someone becoming HIV+. Get real is all I can say. Not only can you not stop taking a cocktail of very expensive drugs, you must be consistent, so what happens when a model is not working and has no money to pay for them? What you do not do is miss the medication to save costs. You consider who is going to be on the receiving end of your poorly though out plan.
Duckface clearly has little understanding of what the many, many experts in the field of sexually transmitted diseases are telling the world – that even if you continue to take drugs necessary, they cannot be an assumed antidote to becoming HUV+ infected or going on to have full blown AIDS.
There is no such thing as being 100% performing bareback, and only a moron would think otherwise. Safeguard against becoming infected or infecting others is the only way forward, and in the promotional material that was included in many of legendary gay porn films Chi Chi La Rue recommended … “Wrap it Up” and this seems to be the safest way with multiple sexual partners you know nothing about or what they might be giving you as a “free gift” … or you giving them if you are HIV+ without be honest enough considering others if not respecting your own body.
In my view consideration for others outshines personal choice. One may think it is cool to have a choice, but do you not have a right to consider whether your choice is going to intrude on the lives of others? I believe you do not have a right to pass on a disease that could kill … you have a consideration to think about and respect others even if you have no respect for yourself. Staying safe and free of infection beats being infected or infecting others.
Sizzling hot pre-condom stars did not have a choice knowing about finer points of safe sex and how the industry became HIV+ and went on to have full blown AIDS and would die as a consequence courtesy of the Angel of Death. Had they known about safe sex in the 1980’s and studios later acted responsibly, I guess many studs would still be alive to tell the tale of how hot sex could be.
Back in the 1980’s, many stars did not know the risks of unprotected sex, but today with so much safe sex education, you would have to be on another planet not to know it is a high risk performing bareback if you ignore the facts. Tomorrow may be too late … so is this a choice of whether you decide you want to live or die? I prefer the respect and consideration of others and self-respect option. You choose … Life v Death!
