The Civil War was one of the lowest points in our history. Over 800,000 Americans died, many in horrific ways due to disease and lack of medical care. And, it’s hard not to think of the injustice of slavery whenever the Civil War is discussed.
None of those facts are conducive to jacking off.

This film was well done and unlike the vast majority of gay adult movies; this story consists of a lot of intimacy. The film depicts men from the opposite sides of the war who first met and got to know one another at West Point prior to the civil war. This kind of story could have and probably did happen once in a while during that devastating war. This film (if it had a higher budget) could have accomplished a lot more with a high level of authenticity. Obviously there were no condoms back in that time. Also the kinds of tattoos that men did have during the Civil War would have been different then. Men often got tattooed prior to going into the war because they knew that should they die their body could be Identified by the kind of tatoos on their body.
The language would have been different then too. There’s certain words that were different. The feeling you get from this story is a sense of safety, intimacy and love between these two young men who care deeply for each other. For a little while they both created a place of love where they can share their lives. The creators of this film should get an award because they really created something unique.
