This is an old news but I just learned today browsing through Muscle Forums that former gay porn star / bodybuilder Gauge is now a MMA fighter. Gauge was a “gay for pay” porn star who’s only top. He starred in about half a dozen porn movies such as Jet Set Men‘s Rear Window, Pacific Sun’s Prick Tease, Daddy’s Angels and Ray Dragon Presents.
Gauge has bulked up and shaved his head. He has changed a lot. I wouldn’t recognize him in some recent pictures if he didn’t have that tattoo on his chest.

As for him going into MMA and still trying to court a gay audience….that may not work out so well. The MMA-UFC world is already a bit paranoid when it comes to gays (which makes sense, since it is gay porn for straight men), and Gauge attempting to court his residual gay audience may wind up being a bit too much for the powers that be in that world. It wouldn’t surprise me if he got a phone call from some legal counsel and was informed “one or the other, but no way in hell both”.

Agree with Jay. Looking at his website(s).. he seems to have no problems postings naked pics from his past and present (looking at it as an outsider – its very gay / homoerotic, which would be totally fine but he now wants to go in a more MMA/UFC direction with his career. Working in / being around / having friends as well as family involved with this sport, I’m not sure this would be good for his career in this arena – but hey who am I. As with any sport MMA and especially the UFC franchise has their share of gay athletes (unbenounced to the public), but it has a long way to go before acceptance becomes ‘mainstream’ in this sport – especially if you have some type of ‘gay porn past’. Hey Guys, your speculation is interesting, but I advise you ask Gauge. I found he was active by reading this blog. I had seen his pics around before, so two points for the eagle eye of QMN! This is why I read this blog!

I doubt this will work, in the sense of him making it into one of the big organizations like UFC, Strike Force, IFL, ect. He’ll probably stay with the little fights.
It may be hard for people who know nothing about the sport, or these organizations to understand. But there’s a certain image these organizations want, and UFC under Dana White is extremely strict. Gay porn or straight porn- guys who get into that world, get dropped from the UFC, or aren’t picked up at all.
The UFC organization, and MMA in general is trying to move away from its overly brutal past it showed way back in the early 90’s.
As far as gay fans? Sure he won’t appeal to your average fag, but he will to any gay guy who loves and knows the sport of MMA.
As far as MMA being porn for straight guys?
