Boston Miles joins Aaron Savvy and Billy Santoro on BOYSTOWN team

Jake Biondi is honored to announce that actor Boston Miles has joined the BOYSTOWN cast of actors working to bring the BOYSTOWN book series to television.

Boston Miles first learned about BOYSTOWN when he saw people talking about it on Twitter and Facebook.  So he ordered a copy on his own and read it. “From the moment I got into the first few chapters of BOYSTOWN, I was knee deep in such a richly developed world where these guys (& gals) didn’t take on the stereotypes we’ve come to associate with gay literature but embodied the multitudes of real layered people who struggle with insecurities and doubt and love tenderly and fearfully like any and all of us have done at one time or other in our lives. Jake’s storytelling is fresh and compelling, all the while being wrapped in a light blanket of fantasy where men lead normal, heart-breaking lives filled with real tangible emotions and playful interactions. I found myself reading through the night and finishing the book in a matter of two days. I am so happy I decided to pick up this story!” Miles explained.

Biondi said of Miles, “I couldn’t be more delighted to have Boston Miles on our team. He will bring to the character of Derek Mancini the depth the character requires. Boston is a bright, articulate, handsome, outgoing guy who has impressed me from the moment I met him.”

Miles said of “his” character Derek Mancini, “I can associate with his strength and demeanor. One can tell he is a conflicted person internally who grapples with the fear of being honest about who he knows is his true self. He’s a smart man, very charismatic and extremely charming. One who’s possibly used his good looks to get him in the door in most of life’s scenarios and once in, has asserted, proven himself with his actions and intellect. He’s a hard worker who has a strong sense of right and wrong. He prides himself on his strong and loyal ties to his family in addition to his conviction of being a good provider and a pillar of strength to his wife and his loved ones. What’s so interesting about him is the inner struggle which we, the audience, is privy to, but that he, himself, struggles to keep from view.”

Biondi added, “Boston Miles is an inspiration to all of us on the BOYSTOWN team. He is a fantastic actor with a great mind for business as well. I am confident that, together, our whole team will bring this book series to television.”

Aaron Savvy (who appears on the book’s cover) said, “It is an honor to be working with Jake Biondi. When Jake said I was the inspiration for the character of Cole, I was honored. I am excited to be on this journey and can’t wait to bring the character of Cole to life by playing him in the BOYSTOWN television series in the near future.”
