I know I’m grasping at straws here but how can a man age that much over two years? He doesn’t look ill to me, what could possibly have that effect on a man’s features? It’s simple, the photo’s haven’t been touched up and are taken straight from an ordinary camera minus a soft lense. Come on guys, I bet most if not all of you don’t look that flash either in photo’s? Most of the porno guys aren’t that great looking in the flesh to begin with, so you can see the diff between the filmed shoots and these latest ones. The magic of photograhy!

Man, you guys certainly know your porn performers. I have absolutely no idea who 80% of these guys are and I always considered myself a porn afficiando. As per Robert’s comment, yes, drugs can age one quickly, especially cyrstal meth. But let me say that as a photographer and cinematographer we use many different lenses and editing techniques to hide flaws. Nowadays, even amateurs can photoshop any pic and we use soft focus lenses all the time. No model or movie star looks the way they do on a magazine cover, it’s all been edited and reworked, and unlike porn actors who are usually not great beauties, these are stunningly beautiful Hollywood actors or international models. Everyone is redone. I was in Budapest last year and at the end of a shoot some guys wanted to hire some local escorts, one of the guys was Fernando Nielsen or Attila Koti. We were all stunned at how disfigured and scarred his face and body were. He was sadly quite ugly to the point were the guys who hired him thought he might be sick, but then someone mentioned that his movies are always done in soft focus or deliberately out of focus, like Bodyguards. To me Bodyguards is unwatchable because the parts with him in it are so blurry. If you look at it in high def you can see how disfigured he is. The stills especially are all retouched. He looks almost cute on the box cover.

I’m sorry, but who looks like Brad Pitt’s brother in porn? Yes, soft focus filters on lenses hide a great deal of blemishes; they are often used for actresses of a certain age to hide wrinkles. Editing, of course, and retouching, alter and enhance most performers. I suppose most porno companies don;t spend the money on these techniques, but a high end company like Falcon certainly does, I would if I were in their shoes. Look at some of these videos, especially if you have high def TV, you can see how the picture will appear blurry or out-of focus. That’s why so many guys express disappointment when they see a “porn star” in person. I apologize if I made anyone out to resemble Quasimodo; I thought I made it clear I meant serious, extreme scarring probably due to acne. I did not mean to be cruel.

I have always endeavoured to stay as far away from drugs and drug users as I could. When I was a young teenager [about 12 years old] my parents bought the movie [on video at that time] “Christiane F. wir kinder vom Bahnhoff Zoo” telling the story of Christiane F a girl from a good middle class family and her freefall into abject misery due to the use/ abuse of drugs. It all started rather innocently at a party and proceeded in a downward spiral. This movie made such an impression that I’ve always been extremely frightened of any and all drugs. I’m sure that was my parents intention and it worked only too well.
The downside, however, is that I’ve developed a certain ignorance on this subject. I couldn’t even identify an ecstasy pill if I came across one. I’ve heard of GBH but I don’t know it what form it comes [powder, pill or liquid] I don’t feel badly about my ignorance on this particular subject! Furthermore I’m not exactly a “party boy” and therefore hardly ever in a environment with people who are into drug use.

@Robert, I remember that film about Christiane as well! Excellent movie. I think it scared me off drugs, too! But tragically, a lot of guys are abusing Tina (crystal meth.) It’s cheap, easy to obtain, the high last for hours and makes you want to fuck or get fucked for hours so it is supposedly abused by many guys in porno. It can alos destroy you very quickly. People only need to know about these drugs to stay away from them.

Case in point about retouching: the picture in the site of Chris Wide that Nobara Jones so kindly posted is entirely edited and retouched. All covers of muscle magazines do this. It’s actually odd that today no one is considered “perfect” enough to not be photoshopped. The look has become, no offense to anyone, what a friend has called California-ized; teeth must be whiter than they are in reality and perfect looking; no lines or wrinkles whatsoever; only a chemically-enhanced, steroid body is acceptable; artificial hair color; perfect tan, ALWAYS. In L.A. no one is permitted to be over 30. LOL. 25 year olds get botox. I doubt I know anyone in L.A. who hasn’t at least had their teeth done and had botox. But they are awful pretty. 🙂
