Please introduce yourself, how old are you, where are you from?
My name’s Gabriel Cross, I’m older than I’d care to admit and I grew up in London.

How did you come up with your porn name Gabriel Cross?
Gabriel comes from the archangel. I’ve always been told I look angelic, so I thought it was fitting. My middle name is Ross, I was Gabriel Ross for some years. When I signed with Randy Blue they added the C.

Please tell us when and how did you get into the adult industry?
I’ve been in and out of the industry for quite some time. I did some amateur British productions in my late teens. But I started working seriously when I applied to shoot with Titan Men. I simply filled out an application online and they promptly responded. So I found myself shooting in Palm Springs on a production called Scorched. This was really a turning point. I did a scene with Tucker Scott who now runs Next Door studios, he turned out to be a very useful ally, and Travis James, who introduced me to Randy at Randy Blue. And the rest is history. I’ve taken breaks over the years but something always brings me back…..

How was it like working with Randy Blue?
My experience with Randy was a really positive one. He treated, and payed, the models extremely well. If only I was still payed those scene rates now….. The only drawback was they used a lot of ‘gay for pay’ models. Which I find rather trying…. It totally killed any strait boy fantasies I had.

Why did you leave Randy Blue and what did you do afterward?
I went back to university and my schedule became very inflexible. As a result they kinda lost interest and I decided to step away from the industry for a time.

Please tell us about all the porn studios you work with. What’s the different between each studios?
I’ve worked with quite a few other the years. In more recent years it’s been:

Men.com who do a lot of high production story lead content. I really enjoy the B role and the opportunity to act.

Falcon Studios Group which consists on Falcon, Hot House and Naked Sword. Glossy high production. I love working with them as they make me look incredible. Naked sword is there story lead, artsy production company.

Until relatively recently I did a lot of work for Next Door Studios. It’s more boy next door. But still high produced.

I prefer to limit the studios I work with. I believe it gives you more longevity in the industry, and I should know about that….. Excessive exposure is not a good thing in my opinion.

What are the studios you enjoy working with the most?
I’d say more people than studious. Josep at AlterSin (Men.com) has been a constant in my life for some years now. men.com got me back into the industry after stepping away for a few years. He always looks after me and I really enjoy working for him.

Kent Taylor and Nick Fox were always amazing to work with at Falcon Studios Group. Both of them are incredibly talented, creative individuals. I’ve worked with Nick since my Randy Blue days and I’m at my happiest when I’m on set with him. They both always made sure there was work for me there. Recently there have been a lot of changes at Falcon Group. Unfortunately both of them have now left. Will there continue to be work there for me? Only time will tell……

Any funny stories that happened during porn shoot?
Pirates XXX was one of the funnies, and most traumatic, shoots I’ve ever been on. Being on a mock pirate ship in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea in extremely choppy waters is not conducive to a simple scene. The sea was so rough we could hardly stand up to shoot the oral. And then there was the vomiting…. Most of us were vomiting over the side of the boat between takes. Poor Jimmy Durano was tied to the mast of the ship, with me blowing him, when his nausea hit. We almost didn’t get him untied in time. But somehow his dick still got hard…. It always does!

What do you think about the current stage of the adult industry where most studios produce bareback contents now?
The first time I did a bareback scene was with Next Door Raw. As a performer it certainly made things easier. I frequently get really sore when I’m bottoming on set with a condom (which is most or the time). It’s clearly where the industry is heading and to resist it doesn’t make business sense. It’s what consumers want.

PrEP has change things, a lot. The industry clearly has a responsibility to it’s performers and consumers well-being. To do as much as it can to ensure people are making sensible, informed decisions. Bareback content clearly encourages the viewer to have unprotected sex. Anyone who says otherwise is very naive or simply lying. Yet I strongly believe your sexual health is your responsibility!

What do you think change the most in the adult industry from when you started and now?
I’ve seen a lot of changes over the years. And the studios who resist that evolution are the ones who fail to survive. One of the biggest changes was the impact of pricey on the industry and that in turn hugely impacted on scene rates. We are clearly at another turning point right now. It’s explicitly clear now that OnlyFans style content is not just a fad. It appears to be the beginning of a new chapter of production. Does that still leave room for studio porn? Yes, but I’m not sure in what context that is.

What do you think about OnlyFans?
I’m incredibly grateful to OnlyFans. It’s empowering models and allowing them to make a serious income. You no longer have to be an exclusive to achieve real success in the industry, or fit that precise studio mould. There’s room for so much more diversity. This independence makes me a lot happier as I find the casting process extremely frustrating.

That being said many models seem to expect it to be a blank check for doing almost no work. It’s not. You need to invest the time and put a lot of work in. It’s a job and needs to be approached as such.

There are clearly a lot of ongoing technical and payment issues with the OnlyFans site and it frustrates me that they haven’t been resolved. Other smaller sites are seizing the opportunity to replicate this business model creating more efficient, reliable versions. Austin Wolf very recently launched his competing site 4my.Fans alone with Dominic Ford’s JustFor.Fans. I’m now focusing my energy towards these two. I believe the site formats are sufficiently different to warrant a presence on both. This will allow fans to chose which they prefer but my content will remain the same on both. Austin and Dominic also come from the industry so the sites are more fit for purpose.

It also surprises me that a large parent group hasn’t come out with a competing site yet, considering the resources at their disposal.

Describe your perfect first date.
So much of that is down to the person you’re with. That spark and chemistry is what I crave. I love good food, so something like great Sushi and an art gallery or theatre. Whenever I’m in DC me and Derek Bolt have date day. He always gets in kinda spot on….

What kind of guys turn you on?

Do it because you enjoy it. I love my job and, for now, don’t want to do anything else. Secondly, you need to be okay with the idea of people knowing what you do. However much you try to keep it from people, they will find out. And you will have to face any negative consequences that come along with that.

It still shocks me how poorly people regard the adult industry and how judgemental and conservative people are.

What’s next for Gabriel Cross?
This year has seen me return to some more niche work. When I was a lot younger I did some wrestling fetish work. MuscleBoyWrestling.com approached me, with a good offer, to return to the scene. So I started shooting for them back in January. I’ve also encouraged some of my colleagues from the more main stream industry to join me. But at this point they will have to remain nameless….. I’m not allowed to spoil the surprise. It’s an enormously popular fetish and defiantly worth checking out.

Beyond that I’m not sure. I’m focused on making more responsible choices in life and with my finances. Much of my energy is going into my JustFor.Fans and social media as a means to drive subscribers.

I recently became sober, and I’m a lot happier for it. The party had to stop at some point. And I want to avoid leaving in a bodybag……
