Tommy D is all that; I don’t get Lawler’s appeal. Tommy is usually always hard as a rock, wonder if it’s b/c they’re roomies (and supposed buddies) that he’s not hard while getting fucked here?
And, wow, “in depth” is right, re: that Randy Blue interview. I clicked on the link, saw that it looks like it’s 3,000 words (two words, MOC, “paragraph breaks”) and decided that was waaaaay more than I want to read/know about RB.
whatsinaname says
Here’s a little rant about randy blue’s interview, please feel free to read on, but skip it if you don’t:
I think Randy is completely off base about standing up for heterosexual rights, and against “discrimination,” just for Reese to appear on a gay man’s porno mag. That’s just plain silly, this is Randy promoting his brand rather than looking to protect one of his models.
I will admit, that the magazine has the right to promote the models they want, and if gay consumers want a magazine that promotes openly gay models, then, something like “instinct” should be of interest rather than a fag rag pornzine such as “Men Magazine.” So the hoopla on this topic is kind of silly too on the parts of men who are up in arms about this.
Also, Kinsey’s study of sexuality, while is respected for being the first of its kind, is considered highly flawed in its study of human sexuality. So much so, his “kinsey scale” is no longer used today. While Randy likes to believe in bisexuality as another form of human sexual expression, it yet has to be proven to be in existence. Generally, it is accepted that there are only two forms, heterosexuality and homosexuality. There is no such thing as in between.
There is closeted behaviors, and ‘down low’ activities that really are a problem for which Randy doesn’t seem to care about.
Yes, I’m sure Reese is pro gay rights, but what does it mean to the gay rights movement, that a sub-par gay performer wants gays to be married? I’m afraid to say, It means nothing; Realistically, it could be a tactic to appeal to Reese’s majority fan base of gay men. Hypothetically, let’s say that he wasn’t in porn, and is truly heterosexual, would he have really given a shit about gay rights? Probably, not. It serves him to ‘support’ those political issues. Just as I’m sure the multitude of models who work in the industry living off of ‘the gay dollar’ who want our money, just not us gay guys, as partners in a relationship…
I wouldn’t completely discredit Kinsey, there some valid points he made: you can analyze a culture’s sexual practices and attitudes through its porn. In this case, Gay-for-pay or ‘down low’.
And right now, I’d say our culture devalues gay men and love between them. It is more acceptable to be a sexually active person with multiple partners of the same sex ,yet retain a heterosexual status[to be ‘down low’ or gay-for-pay]; rather then being a loving male in a homosexual relationship. Society views men in general to be out of touch with their emotions, and wrong for those who are a sensitive caring individual. We label it ‘effeminate,’ and as we all know, there is nothing worse in society to be a sissy.
I just read another blog online about this subject of sissyness, from Jason Mark, in where he was calling openly gay Lance Bass a ‘douche,’ because Lance basically claimed he was a ‘straight-acting-gay’; hmm, now Jason, if you felt this way about Lance, then why are you such chums with a jerk-off like Jeremy Biding; who in video blog taunted gay men who were irked by the fact we was looking to work with women. – flabby tits[jeremy] shouldn’t be looked at as he is the exception, right?
But I digress, back to my original rant:
There is nothing more radical then a loving gay relationship; at no time in human history has there been a concept of this—roman cultures practiced homosexuality openly, but it was more about status in society rather than the focus of a loving relationship. So this truly is an uphill battle and basically seems impossible to win; especially when you have openly sexually active men practicing gay sex– and they can’t even identity to be gay. Ho hum, I think we should just give up-and go home.
I will try to leave it on a positive note:
I do think Randy has hit on a truth: We should look to ourselves as a community to best represent it—not actively look for “role models” to do it for us. Certainly, those kinds who can’t even identify as gay despite their behaviors that are contrary to that label of heterosexual.
Erik says
Damn, hands down Mitchell Rock has the best body in porn (too bad about the tattoos). Uh, and no one looks to porn actors as role models. From what I have read on here, most guys see them as trash or losers. Not necessarily my opinion but having dated a few, it’s close. I do recommend anyone interested in porn actors fucked up lives read Erik Rhodes blog: UNDERNEATH IT ALL.
xdevo says
Where did you get the idea of just gay and straight being ” generally accepted”? If you think that one dimensionally, then own it. It’s ridiculous that anyone thinks they are qualified to asses someone else’s sexuality for them. If bisexuality hasn’t been , “proven” than neither has straight or gay. It’s a matter of what you choose to believe and that does NOT dictate reality.
Tom says
Whatsinaname, that’s excellent. I never thought of it that these so-called closet case porn actors who pretend to be straight are really on the “down low.” But as fucked up as many porn actors are, let’s get real, the ones pretending to be straight must be in league of their own. “Honey, I’m not gay, really, I just suck dick and get fucked and eat ass and allow guys to video tape it for next to nothing, and uh, yes I hustle my ass as well, but no, really, I’m straight. Yeah, I love chicks. Can’t get fucked without thinking about Angelina Jolie. (Brad Pitt) I could be an investment banker or a neurosurgeon.” Yeah, right. Yep.
Rico says
When the fuck are we going to stop with the body scarring tattoos? The white trash look has got to go. I mean, you already work in porno, do you really need anything more to advertise how trashy you are?

whatsinaname says
xdevo,
you are absolutely correct, I’m not qualified to make an assessment on bisexuality– however, your going to have to argue this with a broad scope of psychologists and sociologists who, examined the types of sexual behaviors discussed.
Basically, those studies concluded that you may be gay or straight but not bi.
Basically, you can perform a multitude of sexual activities with either male or female partners, but your desires will always pull you to the partners you really want… what I mean to say is, you can be a married man with a wife, but if your inclined to sleep with men, you cannot avoid it — eventually, you will be sleeping with them on the side; you cannot suppress your true desires for very long. Basically, a true homosexual or heterosexual would be satisfied with genders they are with and wouldn’t feel the need to partake in gay sex on the side.
Again, the behaviors would indicated it is more acceptable to be a ‘down low’ or gay-for-pay type of person then a ‘degenerate’ homosexual who is in love with men. That is what society says, this is what its porn reflects. Also, why many gays feel pressure to take the label of ‘bi’ because then maybe they feel they won’t be completely ostracized for being bisexual.
Robert says
Thank you “Tom” and “Whatsinaname” for expressing my thoughts on these so-called Gay-4-pay performers. I do NOT believe their assertions of being straight! As I’ve said before: I’ve never come across a genuinely straight man who would seriously contemplate sucking dick, eating ass and getting fucked on a regular basis let alone agree to have these acts be filmed for the whole world to see. That just will not happen no matter how open-minded and tolerant they may be!
On a serious note I feel that Gay men need to ask themselves the question: “Why do so many believe that sex with a presumably “straight” man is something to aspire to and infinitely more gratifying then sex with another Gay man. If the man is truly “straight” that in it self means that there is a very small chance that he’d want to be intimate with another man unless, as the expression suggest, they get paid handsomely for it! I assume that there will also be a substantial amount of hidden disgust within the “straight” man while he’s being intimate with his client. On a purely academic level one could argue that there is a case to be made for exploitation and abuse, because the affluent Gay man [client in this case] is using what he has and that which the straight man needs [and in his mind has no other way of gaining but to sell himself] to make him behave/ act in a way that is against his nature and his will and that is MONEY! In Europe we have accepted that it is morally wrong and under certain condition even criminal to have financially destitute women prostitute themselves, why should the same standards not apply to men or in this case: straight men?
I’m trying to make the argument that:
1. Gay men should value themselves enough not to salivate after so-called “straight men” in the hope that they might have a chance for an intimate encounter. If the man is truly “straight” it will NEVER happen and if, for some twisted reason, he does condescend to such an encounter it will not be because he’s attracted to you nor will it ever lead to anything more. He most likely will place many restrictions to what you may and may not do, there will be very little spontaneous response from him and when all is done I can’t believe that either party will be truly satisfied! So what is the point?
2. If these men are truly straight I think it is extremely sad that the pursuit of monetary gain makes them behave against their nature and choose employment that will, whether this is fair or not, label them for the rest of their lives and exclude them from certain professions even though they might have managed to get their lives back on track. The fact that they are adults does not alter the fact that they most likely are so screwed up that their decisions and judgment need to be questioned. If they indeed are troubled and therefore not in a position to make informed decisions, should we then still derive pleasure from watching a beautiful young man destroy himself before our eyes? Ever since I’ve started reading Erik Rhodes blog I find that seeing him “perform” makes me uncomfortable.
Conclusion:
A straight man will never willingly have sex with a Gay man. It is time Gay men get that through their thick skulls and stop this frenzy for every guy in the business who proclaims himself to be straight. Whom you sleep with does NOT determine your masculinity; all it does is indicate what your sexual preference is. A straight man will never do what these so-called “straight” guys in Gay porn get up to on a regular basis in front of a camera! If a man truly is straight but so psychologically damaged that he believes that selling himself for money is the only way for him to survive it is not something to titillate us but rather something that should worry all of us still in touch with our humanity and able to feel empathy and sympathy.

@Robert, thank God you finally commented. I think I only look at this site to read your comments. The silence was deafening as they say. 🙂
SorBiba says
Well said guys. And yes, I am sick of seeing gays writing in their online profiles “straight-acting” or “no fems”. And Lance Bass? Yeah, he’s gross if he said that about being a straight-acting gay. Guess that’s all he will be remembered for. That and for partying in Miami like a nerd with some hot boys who are only after his money. What a douche.
As for Reese? Gay gay gay, no matter what he says.
It’s pathetic. Just like Malachi Marx and his girlfriend hahah. And don’t get me started on closeted celebrities: Anderson Cooper, Ricky Martin, ugh. Please. When will the be proud and come out and for one second forget about the money?
Robert says
@ Declan,
Thank you, for that extremely nice complement!
I have been reading the comments on the QMN site but, some of the things people feel the need to spout as pearls of stupidity are in my opinion so beyond the pale that I no longer wish to respond.
Many statements made have been so lacking in any measure of logic, intelligence or morality that answering would necessarily require me to first give the proponent of the comment a Master Class on “How to logically phrase an argument based on premises that support the conclusion”. That is just too much energy for me to expend on people who apparently need to return to the classroom.
I am sorry if that sounds arrogant but it is what I truly feel. Not to mention the abusive language some people feel necessary in order to make their point. That is NOT the level on which I choose to engage others. I’ve therefore decided to only react to issues I feel strongly about; Comments/ statements made that intrigue me and to people who’s thought process interest me, whether I agree with them or not!
DoucheBag says
Gay 4 Pay all the way. Straight men are the pulse of gay porn, and they certainly know it.
whatsinaname says
well ‘douche’ if someone in your family forces you into conversion therapy, I will fully support their right to; especially since ‘we all know that sexuality is fluid, and straight men can have sex with other guys.’ I mean, all gay men are heterosexuals and can be saved.
Declan says
Hey, wait a minute. I like having sex with guys so, hm, maybe I’m straight, too. Both straight and gay guys always assume that I’m straight so maybe they know something that I don’t. I never realized I was straight. And to think I went to all those Gay Pride Parades for nothing. This doesn’t mean I can’t still suck dick, right? 🙂
Peter says
@DoucheBag, wow guy, your name certainly fits you to a T.
