I don’t understand where all these rumors about porn star Marc Dylan and racism came from or why. But somehow those rumors had become a heated discussion on one of my blog posts, where Marc Dylan himself replied:

Racism is not synonymous with white supremacy, you can be racist no matter what colour/origin you are ( and most of the time get away with it because many don’t conceive that non-white people can be racist).
That being said, not being attracted to someone because of his physical features has (and those are linked to your ethnic origins ) is not racist at all as long as you respect him as a human being.
Being homosexual does not make you de facto attracted to ALL men, and whoever said that this was a wrong “learned bias” is an imbecile as I am sure he has his own bias too whether it’s race, physical attributes, age , disability, etc…
I disagree with Marc though on the “market driven” stance, I think it can be changed but the porn world is a bit segregationist already as the black sites are very often separate entities (and they produce great content, look up Taggaz , DawgpoundUSA or Blackmen . net )
You should also know- and I say that as someone who is into black guys – that LOTS of them are only into other black guys just like Marc is only into caucasians. They are not ashamed to specify it on their profile, it’s unfortunate but it’s not something you can change because you say it’s wrong.

Some physical features are associated with your ethnic background, and for instance if you like people with “sad puppy eyes” or strong prominent noses , it s unlikely that you re going to find a chinese man attractive, so clearly it s not just “skin colour” that comes into play.
Even if people were all the same colour, there are very distinctive features in each ethnicity that enables you to say where they are from. Albino african people don’t look caucasian and tanned caucasian people don’t pass as african either.
Rihanna for instance is almost white skin-colour wise but you can still tell she’s a light-skinned”black” girl.

Also, according to statistics, heterosexual black women are the only group of women, who are less likely to date or married (& boldly out loud say to the world they only want black men) out side their race, does that make them racist? There’s an issue that has been bothering me for quite some time now, and I think it’s finally time to bring it out in the open here.
Why are there so few prominent African [Euro Black; Negropean; Half Breed], Latino, Arabian or Asian porn stars?
Does the porn business reflect the white supremacy of the mainstream society or is it simply because men of color do not actively pursue the business for other reasons?
I’ve heard some companies state that they don’t get alot of African, Latino, Arabian or Asian performers beating down their doors to star in their productions.
But what about all of the movies I’ve seen at the video stores or the countless internet sites featuring “thug porn?”
Is it safe to say that the men of color can only exist together in a niche market appealing to a certain fan base? Or that they are marginalized and only allowed to be perceived as thuggish?
I’ve often wondered who purchases the minority only titles that are so prevalent. Do they appeal to European men who have a unique fetish?
While it is true that porn stars such as Tiger Tyson are powerful players in their own right, it does seem that they are not elevated to the same A-list status as their white counterparts.
Now I bring this issue to the table not to stir up controversy but to get to the root of what’s really going on.
What about the men of color performers who have gained some notoriety you might say?
Well, there’s Tiger Tyson, Matthew Rush, Diesel Washington, Brian Bodine Jason Tiya, Viper and some others whose names elude me right now, but not all of them have had starring roles outside of the stereotypical thug porn realm.
Is there an unspoken rule about certain white performers not wanting to work with minorities?
I’m really not sure what to think so that’s why I am posing all of these difficult questions.
On my journey through life I’ve come to realize that there certainly is racism within the LGBT community and so I just wondered is it also rampant in the gay porn business community?
The only high profile Asian performer that I can think of at this time would be Brandon Lee and he certainly doesn’t ever seem pigeonholed in the roles he’s done.
So maybe audiences just don’t really get off to seeing African men in particular fucking alongside a European guy?
And what about Latino porn stars? Well, let’s see there was the late Rocky, Rafael Alencar, Lex Sabre, Vin Nolan and some others.
Michael Lucas has a scene with Brian Bodine in one of his upcoming movies and I know he’s not discriminating about who he fucks onscreen, and I mean that in a respectful way, so I guess one has to ask the question: Do some porn models have a bias or lack of preference thereof for men of color and refuse to work with them?
