Yes, it is a choice to smoke and be unhealthy. It is also a choice to speak AGAINST smoking too. I choose to speak against smoking because it is just as bad as obesity. I don’t think Francesco is ugly, although I always found the shape of his head and how asymmetrical his face is a bit off. It’s not something I can hold against him because it isn’t something he did to himself. I will have to say I prefer him in his older scenes, with a bit more color and more body hair. He’s a bit too pale here right now.
@Harris Taylor Damien I know for sure smokes, but I’m not sure about Francesco. If you hate smoking then never go to Europe. Most people there smoke it’s not even funny. Madrid to me smelled like second-hand smoke in the major areas like Paseo Del Prado.
I don’t say anything to anyone about it because I used to smoke, still do from time to time but it’s like one cigarette every 2 months. You can’t blame ignorance on these people for not knowing the dangers of smoking because there has been so many ads and lectures and discussions with your peers that EVERYONE knows about the dangers. But at the same time the smokers can’t blame anyone but themselves if/when they come down with any complications due to smoking.

@Olaf I don’t think you should take that as racism necessarily. Marc is absolutely right about people and their “preferences”. You can’t make someone turned on by someone. It’s just like you can’t ‘make’ a gay man turned on by a woman, and a straight man by a man, etc. People have their types or preferences, whatever you wanna call it and there’s nothing wrong with that, even if we don’t agree or understand it. I get annoyed when old straight men say they only like younger women. It makes me upset even though it doesn’t concern me, but I move on cuz it’s not my business.
I personally do not have a ‘type’ or preference, and am able to find men of all shapes, colors, sizes, races, etc. attractive, but not everyone is like me and I can’t fault them for that, and you shouldn’t fault Marc for that either.

@Dean probably the best way to check is to go through the porn stars of your interest who have yet to perform with a certain race. Shouldn’t be too hard I guess.
Also I know we focus on the porn stars and their possible reluctance to work with performers of a certain race, but you’ve gotta put the blame on the studios as well who don’t set up the scenes in the first place. Everyone points out the absence of black men in some of these major studios growing. That’s not a problem that any porn star has caused, it’s definitely all the owners. Marc, do you find bi/multi-racial men attractive? Someone like Boris Kodjoe (younger), Tyson Beckford (younger), or Shemar Moore (younger)?
Our continued exposure to having beauty defined in media (print, television, movies) white is what I fell into, until I realized the beauty of other races. Now, please don’t misunderstand me, things are improving for non-white men in terms of what is considered beautiful.
