You’re right, it’s a myth that humans come from monkeys. But, Humans and Monkeys had from the same ancestor about 30 million years ago. Think about your second cousins, do they have the some facial features as you? Same height? Same amount of body hair? Etc? I assume not, yet you share the same great grandparents. The same ancestors. Now think about that in on a scale of millenniums, rather than decades, that’s evolution. Nothing in the bible is any more connected to a creator of the universe, if there even be one, than the myths found in the Iliad and Odyssey and the myths of other ancient cultures. yes, that’s true, but with a huge caveat: you take a vow of poverty, so you are living off modest wages off the church. It basically follows the tax law that, if you make less than “X”, with your exemptions and deductions, you don’t pay taxes. But “X” is basically non livable unless you are getting assistance from an outside source, which is what priests and nuns do. It definitely is not the case of a priest earning $200,000 a year and keeping it!
