Gay porn star Silver Steele just revealed on his social media that he has Monkeypox.
Hello everyone. I’m currently on Day 15 dealing with my Monkeypox infection. These lesions can be very painful, others have them on their genitals, or anorectal area, making going to the bathroom excruciating. If you know someone suffering from this, reach out and check on them because they may be feeling really alone. A kind word goes a long way.
Silver Steele (who has a degree in biology) also shared this message:
Regarding prevention so you don’t end up like me: try to get vaccinated!! Also this is a droplet virus so it spreads by kissing, sharing drinks, or even touching someone who has lesions/blisters on their skin! Use lots of hand sanitizer, wave hello instead of hugs and kisses, and be cautious at crowded events, especially ones where people are sweating!
I wish him a speedy recovery and applause him for talking about this disease now that W.H.O. declared Monkeypox a global health emergency.
Day 15 of MonkeyPox. Thought I would share a video so you all could see how they look now. I’m also calling for viewers to show compassion and kindness to people going through this… it could be you. People can feel alone in this. Reach out and be a friend if you know someone! pic.twitter.com/oDNchwcv8U

Update: I thought my monkeypox case was mild. I am now at two weeks and the lesions on my face are brutal. In addition, Mpox weakens your immune system and in my case I also have Strep throat for the first time ever as an added bonus. I now have additional lesions appearing…1/3 pic.twitter.com/ENtaDIH3J8

To everyone out there planning on events like Market Days or what have you.. PLEASE PLEASE reconsider unless you've had it or have managed to get a vaccine. If you can fly somewhere and get a vaccine, DO IT. It is totally worth it. Texas is very stingy with the vaccine. 3/3

He received many supportive messages from fans and friends in the adult industry.
Thanks babe! I just decided instead of sitting here letting this thing run its course across my face inflicting pain, that I was going to do something with it. I've been on several news outlets now and my story is hopefully effecting change and opening eyes!

That one in particular that is saying some really unkind stuff is just a negative person in general. I just defriended him on FB.
By the way, meeting your mom at the Grabbys?? She is a TREASURE. Congrats on all your accolades babe.

Many thanks Sir. I'm definitely on the mend, just waiting for the lesions to heal. I'll share updates and more on my experience and what people should be looking for.

I work from home so thankfully I only had to take off a couple of partial days, but I can work normally again starting tomorrow. Thank you for the uplifting words!

40 years ago, gay men hid and stayed quiet when a disease hit us. Then our brothers and trans sisters died en masse while the government did NOTHING. I refuse to be silent or shamed for this. I want to help others and encourage others to be proud of their sexual health.

Thank you for asking! A person is contagious when they have active lesions anywhere on their body. Someone can catch it just by touching that lesion accidentally, or by sweat, or by saliva, which is why crowded bars and circuit parties are hot spots for infection.

I appreciate him taking the time to share his personal situation. Hope he & other heal quickly!
Daniel says
I highly doubt he got it by “kissing, sharing drinks, or even touching someone”.
Martin says
I don’t mean to be rude, but maybe he shouldn’t be fucking with random dudes ♂️

Stupid comment award goes to you.
Congrats!

Poor guy, I wish him a speedy recovery.
Unfortunately his description of transmission is misleading. Most public health experts are saying a hug, sharing drinks, or touching someone are unlikely virus transmission methods. Prolonged face-to-face conversation and skin-on skin contact are the primary vectors of transmission. Get vaccinated ASAP, guys. ❤️

He’s so beautiful that I hope it doesn’t leave terrible lasting scars on his face.
I applaud him for giving genuinely helpful tips for both avoiding contracting the disease and for how to treat lesions if you have it.
