I feel that people who identify as sexually fluid are using that term because pansexuality and bisexuality have received negative backlash from both the heterosexual and the homosexual communities. Both of them have stated they think pan and bi people are confused or greedy. And it’s become stigmatized. So being “sexually fluid” is like saying “I am a gay man who likes to fuck women.” And they feel almost safe cause they have the title of being gay which has less criticizing to it.
As a gay man myself I would never be straight for pay or bi for pay. I am not attracted to women in that sense to have sex with them.
