Sometimes having a very talented top bottom can take away some of his mystique. Some tops are just so good at what they do and totally take control of the situation that watching them bottom (even in a flip/flop) makes them seem less aggressive, though not necesarily less manly. Bo Dean is very aggressive as a top and although I think he would do decently as a bottom, I don’t think the scene would have the same flair as it would if he was strictly a top. And also, I HIGHLY doubt they would be able to find a top that could handle Bo Dean in terms of intensity. I like Dirk Jager as top but he’s too quiet to really handle Bo and Julian Vincenzo would be another potential candidate but I’m not sure how that scene would work out but I doubt that Julian would be able to pull it off either.

Man I disagree with most of these sentiments. In porn today the hotter, more masculine studs seem to always be the bottoms. Better looking and much better bodies. The hottest guys I know are mainly bottoms.

I think you have a point about real life. The bottoms or versatile-bottoms do tend to be hotter. But gay porn is a business so if they find a really hot masculine model, they will have him top first and maybe later, if there is enough interest, bottom sporadically like Tyler Saint. This way they can really promote the next movie by advertising that X bottomed for the first time in this vid, almost guaranteeing higher DVD sales. The models themselves may choose to top only because from a financial perspective, they think they’ll make more money that way. Also, in real life, there are very few men who are strict tops. Even if they don’t like bottoming, most guys have atleast tried it a couple of times.
