Last week, Colby Keller blogged about Jake Deckard‘s interesting porn project to “re-envisioning” the iconic 1971 film by Wakefield Poole, Boys in the Sand.
Boys in the Sand is a landmark American gay pornographic film. The 1971 film was directed by Wakefield Poole and stars Casey Donovan. Boys in the Sand was the first gay porn film to achieve crossover success and one of the earliest porn films of any genre to gain mainstream credibility, preceding 1972′s Deep Throat by nearly a year.
The movie is called Men in the Sand, starring Colby Keller, Dale Cooper, Dirk Caber, Josh West, Jake Deckard, Ray Dragon, Kyle King, Christopher Daniels, and David Anthony, and was shot on Fire Island last week.

Titan seems to be doing a lot of bleeding lately. First they lose Dean Flynn and now David Anthony. Many of their other former exclusives are no longer working like Marco Blaze. If this keeps up, there won’t be a Titan anymore and some other studio like Raging Stallion or Michael Lucas will buy them out.

Saw a rough edit of a documentary about Wakefield Poole. I gotta see Boys in the Sand one of these days and I hope that yes, there should be some fucking in this remake but it shouldn’t be the focus of the film. And I have a feeling that Raging Stallion would make a better, moodier movie that’s still hot.

I just viewed the two discs of this movie.
All of the cast of men were excellent except they could have done without Christopher Daniels as well as the intrusive and annoying music that accompanied each scene.
Kyle King was a pleasure to view., as he allowed his chest hair to grow out. His scene with Dale Cooper was very exciting to watch as I could tell the amazing chemistry that these two men had for each other. King’s scene with
Josh West was also great.
There was one additional man casted in the scenes with David Anthony and Christropher Daniels who went only by the name of Davis. I had never viewed him in films until now. Great body , thick bush and cock. It would be nice to see him in future films. This film was direct ed by porn legend Jake Deckard. Too bad that he was not in the cast, as he would’ve added his legendary and intense performance to the film.

In response to ”ugh’s ” comments about the continuing reduction of men from their films (i.e.: David Anthony). He is absolutely right on target on his comments! The Titan dvds used to be enjoying and exciting to watch. It now seems that all of their scenes drag on
very slowly and lose their appeal. Plus,
they NOW just have three scenes in all of their dvds instead of four. I imagine that they are attempting to cut costs., but wonder if they are indeed running out of men to appear in their films due to their
business standards.
